I am a mixed media artist, printmaker and textiles enthusiast who likes to experiment with different materials and with ways of combining them in my artwork. I work in several different styles and as a result there is a great deal of variety in the finished pieces. My preference is to work in a semi-abstract manner. Sometimes detail is important but not always however colour and pattern are always a key consideration, whether that is with paint, collage, traditional printing methods or textile processes. I am inspired by my travels around the UK and further afield, and I like ‘Urban Themes’ but inspiration is everywhere – I am never short of ideas, and I love to get lost in the creative process.

For the Art and Craft Trail this year I will be showcasing the various aspects of my artwork, and for the first time I will also be including my hand dyed and screen printed fabrics and associated completed textiles.
