Brought up in a Cumbrian family who encouraged awareness of surroundings, Clare is fascinated by the effects of light in the natural environment.

The contrast of light, form and colour in Silverdale provides the photographer with numerous opportunities.
The exhibits in the 2011 Art Trail are on the theme "Perspectives of Eaves Wood"

The focus is on the range of images and details, including pictures of work undertaken to maintain the woodland.

The exhibits include framed prints and unframed and handmade cards.
