As well as being an artist I am a psychotherapist and subtle energy healer. My paintings are inspired by metaphysical and human themes, such as healing, communication, relationships and the unconscious mind. I work in mixed media, painting, creating digital images from my paintings, and photography.
I have a love of nature and landscape, and human faces, as well as a deep interest in the relationship between the mind and the physical body. I am also fascinated with the quantum level of existence and the interface of energy and matter.
Whilst wanting my work to be enjoyed by the general public, I also aim to support the healing process and enhance healing environments. My work can be used as a focus for meditation, or help access the unconscious mind.
I also create ‘Energy Portraits’, where I ‘tune into’ a person’s (or family or pet) essence or soul, and create an image.
I have sketched and painted all my life and have attended numerous adult education classes. Over the last ten years I have been selling my original paintings, reproductions, photographs and cards. In 2003 I attended Kendal College Department of Art & Design full-time and gained an Edexcel BTEC National Diploma in Foundation Studies Art & Design, and NCFE Intermediate & Advanced Certificates in Creative Craft in Drawing and Painting.
