Donald Dakeyne

donald.dakeyne@mypostoffice.co.uk
Donald studied at Bolton College of Art and Bretton Hall and now lives in Silverdale.
His subject matter is usually landscapes and buildings executed in a variety of media. He is a topographical artist who has a remarkable gift for presenting the unique beauty of the North Western landscape and, in his urban scenes, a delightful way of reminding us that not all our industrial heritage is ugly or our mills satanic.
He has exhibited at The Manchester Academy, The Royal Watercolour Society Galleries in London and several galleries in the north including Salford Art Gallery, The Harris Museum, Preston and Townley Hall, Burnley.
He has also illustrated a number of books of walks in the north and had
published several series of signed prints for The Fine Art Trade Guild.
