John has been making stoneware pottery in his Yealand Redmayne workshop for more than forty years. The firing process, involving high temperatures and a smokey/reducing atmosphere in the kiln, gives rich colours and exciting unpredictable effects on the pots.
In 1990 John was elected a fellow of the Craft Potter’s Association of Great Britain.
