This artist has work in the Outdoor Art Trail at Venue 20.
Silverdale Art Group is a group of local artists committed to participating in and encouraging the visual arts. Established some fifty years ago, we now have around 40 members forming an active and lively group. We seek to promote all aspects of the visual arts in the local community and to assist in the personal improvement, art education and recreation of our members. We aim to provide an entry point and encouragement for beginners, while nourishing the development of more experienced artists. We meet on a weekly basis from September to June with a varied programme of demonstrations, workshops and group projects, while also providing a supportive environment for individual working.
This is our twelfth year exhibiting as part of the Art Trail, which provides us with a wonderful opportunity to show our work to a wide audience and for outreach, more generally. The exhibition forms a large and diverse display, covering a range of media and subject matter, including prints and cards. Most of the work shown is newly created during the past year. The exhibition is conveniently situated at the Gaskell Hall in the heart of Silverdale; why not come in and enjoy some tea, home-made cakes and sandwiches, while browsing the Art Trail catalogue and planning your day? We are all local people, so are a good source of information on Silverdale and all aspects of the Trail. If you have time, come back and see us later and tell us about your day. We never sell out of cakes!
Opening Times: 10:00 to 17:30 each day, including Friday.
We look forward to meeting you!
