This will be the third year for 'The Glass Girls' exhibiting with the Art Trail, who this year are Léonie Kennedy and Debbie Copley.

'The Glass Girls' take traditional stained glass techniques and present it in a unique and original way to produce a wide variety of different items. Of particular local interest is their utilisation of 'found treasure' from the shore at Silverdale. Their 'Shore Stars' and 'Shore Angels are becoming much sought after.

Léonie has been experimenting with putting 'vintage treasure' into her work and has an obsession with old buttons and medicine bottles which are appearing in her glass designs.

Debbie will also be displaying her increasing range of unique bird sculptures that are mounted on locally found pieces of driftwood. New for this year will be dippers, kingfishers, owls and an osprey and who knows what else.

Come along and be made most welcome at their new venue. This year you will have the opportunity of taking a look in Debbie’s workshop, a turf-roofed hide-away overlooking her garden. You will be able to see the tools and materials used in the process of making a stained glass panel.

On show will be a wide selection of leaded panels, sculptures and decorative items for sale and commissions would also be most welcome.
